Born and raised in Eagle Colorado, Stephen began his career in production working as student in the Brooks Center for the Performing Arts at Clemson University. After graduating with two B.A. degrees from Clemson, Stephen moved back to Colorado and in February 2002 began working as
production technician at the Vilar Performing Arts Center. In 2005, Stephen decided to pursue his passion for live sound and enrolled in the MFA program in recording arts and technology at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, TN.
While attending graduate school in Tennessee, Stephen worked as a freelance audio engineer in Nashville, TN. During his time in Nashville Stephen worked for Hugh Bennett Productions, the Pat Patrick Band, and CrewOne. In between classes, and studio session at MTSU, Stephen worked arena shows at what is now Bridgestone arena, mixed front of house and monitors at festivals throughout Nashville, and travelled extensively as the audio engineer and production manager for the Pat Patrick Band. Today, Stephen maintains many professional relationships and personal friendships in the Nashville music scene.
After graduating from MTSU in 2008, Stephen worked between Nashville and Colorado for a year before starting what would eventually become Kaleidoscope Productions. Stephen’s passion for making events great has been a driving factor in the growth and success of Kaleidoscope Productions. With 20+ years of production experience, his knowledge, skills, and problem solving are invaluable to the day to day operations of the business. Having navigated the company through the recent Covid pandemic, Stephen has been focused on responsibly growing the business and expanding the Kaleidoscope Productions team to an ever growing client base.
